What does Eri Nobuchiko (left) have to do with Royksopp?

If you have an irresistible urge to shake what your mother gave ya’ when the bass drops or if you just like to sit back and unwind with your speakers outputting electronic euphoria, you probably already know about Royksopp. This electronic duo from Norway took music charts the world over by storm in 2009 with an album called Junior. The first single from the album “Happy Up Here” debuted on Pete Tong’s show on BBC Radio 1. Swedish pop idol Robyn lent her voice to “The Girl and the Robot,” the second single.

But it’s “Vision One,” another track from Junior with vocals by Anneli Drecker, that I’m primarily interested in. More than four years before it graced Royksopp’s breakout album, “Vision One” started life as another third track on another album: Eri Nobuchika’s nobuchikaeri.
