Nihongaku Radio Episode 6: Shonen Knife Is Coming to Town

Nihongaku Radio Episode 6 banner

Christmas music from Japan? You must be mad! Think again ye desirers of Yuletide songs from the Far East. Japan does crank out some good Christmas music and we’ve got three examples of on episode seven. Someone has to write some new Christmas tunes. We Americans sure as hell aren’t doing it.

I mentioned a few things worth noting in this episode. If you dig Shonen Knife’s Christmas single, “Sweet Christmas,” you’ll be happy to hear that you can download another Shonen Knife Christmas song for free. Also, if you missed the non-remixed version of “Knocking On Your Door” by Kiyoshi Sugo, you can hear it on Nihongaku Radio Episode 5.
