Yes, it’s true. Somehow I’ve survived another SXSW here in Austin, Texas. I’ve spent the last five days fighting exhaustion while rocking out to a non-stop barrage of Japanese music showcases. As per usual, I’m wiped, currently in possession of a massive stack of CDs I did not previous own and yet totally ready for next year. So excuse me if I wax a little nostalgic by playing some of the bands I heard at SXSW on this episode. Don’t worry, we’ve got some brand new stuff to get to as well.
A few things I mentioned in the show:

Kyarypamyupamyu’s video for “Candy Candy” is guaranteed to make you smile. Peelander-Z also has a new video for their song “Star Bowling.” Also, if you’re wondering if Saito Johnny’s cover of “Video Killed the Radio Star” is a cover, it is. It was written by The Buggles. It was also the first music videon on MTV.
