After learning last week that X Japan is mistakenly listed on the SXSW Music schedule (and the resultant emotional roller coaster that followed) I could use some good news from Japan’s biggest rock band.

X Japan band leader Yoshiki Hayashi does not disappoint. Yoshiki tweeted tonight that “most likely X Japan will kick off WORLD TOUR 2011 in late May!” Dates? Locations? It’s all up in the air. But hey! At least we’ve got an official word on when we’re likely to see X on stage again. Until May, try to remember that good things come to those who wait…sometimes with ridiculous amounts of pyrotechnics.
